Nursery/Pre-kindergarten
This is a class that incorporates basic learning with fun for toddlers. Basically, it is similar to day-care. Nursery rhymes and children’s songs will form a large part of their learning, as well as watching educational videos, and learning Bible verses. We provide a loving, caring time for your toddlers. A school day for a student in this class is 2 hours.
A child entering Nursery must be at least 3 years old upon enrolment. Finishing Nursery class does not automatically qualify a student to enter Kindergarten 1 the next school year.
Kindergarten 1
A child entering Kindergarten 1 must meet the following requirements:
Kindergarten 2
This level is pre-elementary, so a child entering this level will be honed for readiness to enter Grade 1 the following school year. If a child graduates Kindergarten 2 at FCA, we will consider them ready for entry to Grade 1, unless special circumstances arise that may disqualify the child for said entry.
A child entering Kindergarten 2 must meet the following requirements:
Elementary
Students who wish to enrol in the elementary levels must present required documents and take a standardized assessment test to determine if they are ready for placement in the desired grade level. If the school sees that they are not qualified, then the school will either 1) Recommend them for summer classes to try to catch up, and then take another assessment test after summer classes or 2) Recommend that they pursue enrolment elsewhere. FCA’s goal is that the students who will enrol can be served to the best of the school’s ability; to provide the students’ appropriate needs, these assessment tests are necessary.
Secondary
Students who wish to enrol in the secondary levels must present required documents and take a standardized assessment test to determine if they are ready for placement in the desired grade level.
Students who wish to enrol in the secondary levels must read and agree to comply with FCA’s Code of Conduct, and must sign as proof of their agreement.
