FCA is open to all students as long as they comply with the rules and regulations of the school. FCA reserves the right to deny enrollment to any students whose needs we would not be able to meet.

1. Eligibility

Nursery

This class incorporates basic learning with fun for toddlers. Nursery rhymes and children’s songs will form a large part of their learning, as well as watching educational videos, and learning Bible verses. We provide a loving, caring time for your toddlers. A school day for a student in this class is 2-3 hours. Focus is given to real-life skills that will prepare students for future success, and a hands-on approach is used in learning. Students will enjoy learning in many learning spaces, including simple mini-farms and gardens where they can learn responsibility and stewardship for the environment, and for animals. A child entering Nursery must be at least 3 years old upon enrollment. Finishing Nursery class does not automatically qualify a student to enter Kindergarten 1 the next school year.

Pre-Kindergarten

A child entering Pre-Kindergarten must meet the following requirements:

  • Must pass the readiness assessment done by the Kindergarten supervisors.
  • Must be at least 4 years old by September 1 of the same school year.
  • Finishing a Pre-kindergarten / Nursery program does NOT automatically qualify a student to enter.

All pre-elementary levels provide a fun, engaging environment for the children to learn, while
incorporating real-life skills and hands-on experiences indoors and outdoors.

Kindergarten

A child entering this level will be honed for readiness to enter Grade 1 the following school year. If a child graduates Kindergarten at FCA, we will consider them ready for entry to Grade 1, unless special circumstances arise that may disqualify the child for said entry.

A child entering Kindergarten must meet the following requirements:

  • Must pass the readiness assessment done by Kindergarten 2 supervisors.
  • Must be 5 years old by September 1 of the same school year.

All pre-elementary levels provide a fun, engaging environment for the children to learn, while
incorporating real-life skills and hands-on experiences indoors and outdoors.

Elementary (Grade 1 – Grade 6)

Students who wish to enroll in the elementary levels must present required documents and take a standardized assessment test to determine if they are ready for placement in the desired grade level. If the school sees that they are not qualified, then the school will either 1) Recommend them for summer classes to try to catch up, and then take another assessment test after summer classes or 2) Recommend that they pursue enrolment elsewhere. FCA’s goal is that the students who will enroll can be served to the best of the school’s ability.

Junior High School (Grade 7 – Grade 10)

Students who wish to enroll in the secondary levels must present required documents and take a standardized assessment test to determine if they are ready for placement in the desired grade level. If the school sees that they are not qualified, then the school will either 1) recommend them for summer classes to try to catch up, and then take another assessment test after summer classes or 2) recommend that they pursue enrollment elsewhere. FCA’s goal is that the students who will enrol can be served to the best of the school’s ability; to provide the students’ appropriate needs, these assessment tests are necessary.

Students who wish to enroll in the secondary levels must read and agree to comply with FCA’s Student Code of Conduct, and must sign as proof of their agreement.
